The Worgen’s Howl Episode #117: The ban hammer keeps swinging!

Welcome fellow pack members!

We are here to bring you the latest from the World of Warcraft and the community around it. It has been a very exciting week here, and we are excited to be here to give you another episode! Here are some of the topics you will hear about this week…

  • We talk about some class changes coming in 7.1.5
  • We dive into the recent bans, and discuss where is the line of ‘cheating’ in the game
  • We respond to your answers of whether you have alts anymore or not
  • And much more!

First, we wanted to take  a second to introduce you to Mythic + Friends, a community project that brings people together in game! Many of us know that finding a group of people to run mythics with can be a challenge. With that in mind, the awesome people over at Mythic + Friends have created a community to help you find people to run with! You can check out their Twitter and Discord. This group is yet another neat community project aimed at bringing people together and helping people have fun in game!

Second, here is this week’s community board! It has all the latest contests, events, and more! Please feel free to share this any way you like! The links to each contest are in the description below the video.

Finally, thank you all once again for all of your support! This show wouldn’t be here without this great community! Each week we think about how thankful we are to be part of the best group of gaming fans! Keep being amazing and have fun in the new expansion!

  1. With regards to cheating, there are certainly a number of factors. I’m tend to take a fairly hard line with regards to blatant cheating. I’d have to wonder how many times did they attempted the fight. On one hand, noticing that mechanic suddenly disappears to the point that they tailored their strategy around it seems like they were aware of it enough. But if it was something they only discovered during the live game, there is also uncertainty where they may be probing to see if this is the cause or not. However if this was discovered in beta and never reported, then I’d likely be more harsh on it.

As far as having people at blizzard there to watch the attempts, I can understand why you would want that. However, It would also require having enough people to watch all the attempts (likely immediately after server start by multiple guilds) and be trained enough to spot nuances like this.

  2. Really informative blog.Really thank you! Awesome.
